The Jones family is coming to the ranch

their story

Livie Jones gave birth to her sweet baby girl, Oakley, on July 1st, 2024. Oakley immediately had to have surgery.

Soon after, other health complications led to genetic testing, where she was diagnosed with Noonan syndrome. Oakley was a fighter and, for six months, fought other health issues (intestinal, heart, lung, and kidney issues) that kept her in the NICU since birth. One of the biggest concerns was her respiratory health.

Oakley’s family tried to see her as much as possible. They made the 30-minute drive to and from Shands Hospital/NICU in Gainesville, FL, constantly and more than once a day to make sure she had milk, clean clothes, and bed sheets. The Jones family gave baby Olivia tons of love and cuddles while trying to keep their day-to-day lives on track as best they could.

Recently, Oakley’s parents had to decide about bringing her home and how that would be done. With tons of “unknowns,” they just kept praying alongside their “prayer warrior village” of people from all over.: “God heal, protect, and bring her home.”

Recently, they were headed into the hospital to make a difficult decision that would have led baby Oakley to have a tracheotomy. This would have meant she would’ve had to stay in the hospital longer.

After many prayers and meetings, Oakley had to endure another surgery. Oakley’s heart couldn’t take it anymore, and she passed during surgery… just 5 days before Christmas on December 20, 2024.

Oakley leaves behind her mom, dad, two brothers, and one sister. The Amanda Ranch is proud and honored to provide the Jones family with an all-expense trip out west in 2025.
